This self-contained luxurious pioneering cottage was built for the Mill Store Manager’s family, the Jamiesons, uniquely set amidst the forest yet only a ten-minute walk from this historic timber town’s amenities.
Serenity Cottage can welcome up to four guests, across two large queen bedrooms. Retaining its heritage charm, the cottage boasts original jarrah floors, high ceilings with elaborate detailing, French doors onto a wrap-around veranda and large cosy fireplaces in the living room (with an inset wood burner) and a kitchen (with an inset new oven). The house has been beautifully furnished, including a romantic four-poster carved bed in the master bedroom and beautiful furnishings throughout. There is a spacious living/dining room with a well-stocked bookcase and a new country-style kitchen, bathroom and separate w/c. The undercover outdoor dining/seating area has well-established cottage gardens with the forest as a backdrop.

Our high ceiling bedrooms contain queen beds, all with the highest quality orthopedic mattresses and an anti-allergen mattress toppers as standard. Our beds are draped in breathable, long staple one-thousand thread count cotton satin weave sheets for a silky soft feel against your skin. Both bedrooms have split systems providing both air-conditioning as well as heating.
The spacious bedrooms contain antique furniture, including full length mirrored robes as well as spacious dressing tables with ample draw space. The restored high ceilings contain beautiful patterns throughout as well as ceiling roses and detailed cornices.

Enjoy viewing and listening to the variety of birds visiting the flower beds and bird baths from your private veranda and garden seating.
