Walk or Soar Through The Forest Canopy
Pemberton is home to some of Western Australia's most majestic karri trees, and there’s no better place to walk beneath their towering canopies. While the iconic Gloucester Tree remains closed for climbing (set to reopen later this year), you can still ascend the Dave Evans Bicentennial Tree for breathtaking forest views. For thrill-seekers, Aerial Adventures Pemberton offers an exhilarating treetop experience with ziplining, flying fox runs, and aerial obstacle courses—all just a 15–20 minute walk from Serenity House. We’ve also curated a selection of our favourite forest walks and lookouts in the guest books at both Serenity House and Serenity Cottage, so you can explore at your own pace.
Discover Pemberton Wines
Pemberton’s cool climate is perfect for producing exceptional wines—especially Pinot Noir and Chardonnay—and we’re lucky to have a selection of beautiful cellar doors just minutes from Serenity House. Whether you’re in the mood for a slow afternoon tasting, a long winery lunch, or a cosy evening by the fire with a rich fortified drop, you’ll be spoiled for choice. Many of our favourite vineyards offer not just award-winning wines, but also warm hospitality and delicious food showcasing fresh local produce. You’ll even find small-batch gins infused with native herbs and botanicals from the Southern Forests—perfect for a forest-inspired sundowner.

Pemberton Tramway and Forest Waterfalls
Step back in time and climb aboard one of Pemberton’s historic trams—once vital to the region’s timber industry and now a must-do forest adventure. The 75-minute Pemberton Tramway journey winds through towering karri forests, over charming bridges, and stops at Cascades Waterfall, where you’ll have time to hop off, explore, and soak in the scenery. Along the way, your driver shares fun and informative stories about the area’s rich timber heritage. You can book a return trip or opt for a one-way ticket and walk part of the Bibbulmun Track back to town—an unforgettable mix of history, nature, and relaxation.
